Austin - Too Far to Look Back by kevissimo Austin - Too Far to Look Back by kevissimo
"nothin to do now
we did all we could
and it's not your fault
it's not your fault

don't cry
please don't cry

what's that song you liked?
the one you sang that morning
to that waitress you liked?

i'll sing it for ya
just don't cry
baby, don't cry"

Turmoil! I'm not exactly sure what's going on, but it's tumultuous and I like it. Great capture!

it's just so evoking. I could hardly tear my eyes away from it. With so little, you managed to say alot--the best part is, each viewer can have his/her own perception of this, everyone will get a different feeling from it. It's such a potentially personal piece.

And i love it. Great work.

It may look like it, but it's not....
done in the studio very late at night when i was in a terrible mood and thought nothing was going to come out of it...

i always appreciate when you write...

I might say it does look like natural lighting, so it has more merits to me.
terrible mood? do you need a professional tickler to make you laugh? ;)
I know some photographers have their own personal rituals they make for their sessions. I have my little rituals as well, but they come totally at random, depending upon my mood. Does it happen the same to you? (geez...I realised I sound like Ophra interviewing someone important :-| )

a professional tickler....certainly better than having an assistant. unfortunately i'm not ticklish. many have tried and failed. that's not to say that one can't continue to find a way. perhaps it would take a pro...

i'm actually hardly ever in a bad mood...just a cocktail of circumstances at the moment.
i actually don't have that many rituals when shooting, other than not having anyone else around. (i do have some set rituals when painting however) good music and scotch always helps. it did this night...

well, we have something in common: I never let anybody to be with me while I am shooting (myself). It is a very intimate moment for me, so I dare to be selfish enough to not let another person to share it with me: it is MY time, it is MY space, it is MY body. It could seem kind of rude, but sometimes you have to fight for your personal space (territorial? yes, very much so in this case).

Thanks for answering :blowkiss:

I can totally understand....though I rarely if ever shoot myself.
Some would argue that I should...just not with a camera....

I love the contrast of the sunburnt/tanned shoulder amidst all the paleness...
Along with the scars and scabs with unmarked skin...
Really moving.

Excellent photo....
