And no...
we shall not escape this world unscathed
For all the talk of healing
(which I believe)
and all the statues to freedom
(to which I cling)
we will be marked by this life

And if our lives shall mean anything
we will have walked through the fire
and taken the histories of pain upon our very skin

I will eat this life
like medicine

the nails of love
the tides of sorrow
and even the joy that consumes me
in the oasis of night
will be written

and written forever in the unseen places

pages of flesh
in a museum of history

Beautiful.

it's easy to be easy and free
when it doesn't mean anything to remain
selfless, cold and composed

This strikes close to my heart as exhuding a sense of grief and isolation. I deeply appreciate your works and the somber tones that I percieve in them. The chaos of the image is very expressive of how I feel has been the tangled course of my life. Your work is worth so much more than any monetary denomination, any amount could ever do justice...

I like the way the figure is contorted so that you don't see their face. It draws you in so that you can experience the environment for yourself in place of the figure.
I like the sense of pain that the image expresses.

Your words transcend poetry. They wax true.I believe it's a truth we all once knew .We had it when we were born: before we become processed by the machine: the beginning of the end of pure knowledge. The begining of 'world 101' where we began to learn all about "norms" and how to pursue distractions and how to chasing rainbows and worship the god of money, power, self etc..ect...ect.
You call us back: You make us look .. And Hopefully you evoke those long forgotten memories. With your work you seem to gracefully integrate the human condition with all it's pain and sorry (and scars) with victory and meaning. Even celebration that we are HERE.... fighting to live and living to love and glorify the Ceator though that work/gift He blessed us with. And the circle revolves. And spirts are lifted and that is definately reason to celebrate life
You seem to say in your work "We are so much stronger more infinately valuable than we can know within these physical bodies. You have the devine spark Kevin. I speake on behalf of many. I HEAR you and! God Bless you Kevin Rolly, Sarah wookey

We are not human beings having a spiritual experience: We are spiritual beings having a human experience

:wow: Wow, I really love your poem. I relate to it quite well.

Very cool. Great texture and I love the abstract/ambiguous subject and composition. Almost looks like a rock formation.
