(In the dream) I am in a boarding house somewhere. I am alone though people are scattered in beds around the room. A woman. She undresses in front of me. The space between us stretching out like a vast chasm...last cigarettes burn in the dark. Her eyes catch mine for a moment. The room becomes a cathedral of loneliness and longing...
