The youngest son of Gideon...The only one to escape the sword of his half-brother Abimelek who, in one day, murdered all seventy of his brothers in public to become king. In time Jotham would turn the winds against his murderous sibling in the city of Schechem, but on this day, the last of Gideon's legacy could only run...

Created live at Theory Labs April 16th 2011 for the continuing series "In the Time of the Judges" which will put to image the entire Old Testament book of Judges. I'm about a third of the way, maybe less.

Devan, who played Jotham nailed it within 4 frames of shooting.

-Oilgraph on wooden panel - 30x24
Created with all traditional materials (Silver emulsion prints and oil)

So who was more wronged, the sixty nine who died, or the one who lived with the horror?
