It happened
I was there

We came to see something
we had never seen before

but the mist claimed everything that day
and all we had was each other
to keep as souvenirs

It was a Tuesday I remember
and you wore your blue hat
and quoted scripture
Something I said made us laugh and
for a brief moment we were almost more
than what we were before

perhaps in that time
we did see things we hadn't before

That was long ago however
and now greater mists have claimed even those little tokens
of attention

We made a pact
to return in October
two years to the day

We never did

you're stuff always shows you enormous talent on "renewing"
I love the way you can get the new out of the old
man this is great, and the text with it just makes it even more mysterious
it's powerfull to the bone!!

Thank you for all of that.....

Yes, I did. It was a straight photo. Unfortunately I had to reshoot it on 35mm due to time and then it sold, so the clarity is not what it normally would be...and I just rediscovered it last night...

^ I agree...it's pieces like this that make you realize it's sometimes more important what's NOT in the photo than what is...

it reminds me of a beautiful foggy night, with maybe a figure in headlights in the distance...I like work like this, something you can build a whole narrative around that can be totally different for everyone...
